Two CDs recorded on Dobson instruments have recently been issued. Martin Jean, now Associate Professor of Organ at Yale University but previously Associate Professor of Music and University Organist at Valparaiso University, returned to Indiana to record an album of Bolcom, Bach, Brahms, Pachelbel and Liszt on the Reddel Memorial Organ in Valparaiso’s Chapel of the Resurrection. Aaron Burmeister, on the faculty of Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, has recorded a program entitled “Classical Perspectives,” composed of works of Buxtehude, Distler, Bach, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Langlais. Our Op. 59, built for the residence of Dr. Peter Szeibel and subsequently offered for sale because of Peter’s relocation, has been acquired by Central Methodist Church of Phoenix, Arizona. We will be installing the organ in the newly-renovated Pioneer Chapel in Spring, 2000. The organ will be revoiced to suit its new home. Don Morse is the Director of Music.
